Types of Spray Booth & Clean Air Room
This is one of the popular recovery system which uses a dedicated cartridge collector trolley for each individual color. The decision of spray to waste OR no recovery is decided based on consumption of individual color and cost of dedicated cartridge in comparison to recovery.

Cyclone Type – This is a popular choice and cyclone being self-cleaning, one or multi cyclones are used to recover all individual colours in operation.
Above systems are designed with fresh powder transfer pumps, sieves, feed hoppers, gun feed pumps, powder supply hoses, powder level controllers, auto and touch up guns and Axis Controlled Reciprocates to make a complete automatic installation.
Most commonly used spray booth materials are mild steel painted, polished stainless steel, rigid plastic and plastic thin sheet. Each material has featured that affects colors change. Surfin has expertise to choose the most optimal system you need.
Surfin firmly believes that success of powder coating depends on isolating powder application area from the rest of the plant environment. Contaminants in the surroundings adversely affect coating performance. Isolating airborne contaminants from depositing on parts to be a coated needs special precaution. Hence, the Clean room.
Surfin keeps in mind following while designing clean Air Room:
- The room should adequate to allow workers to clean, maintain and operate the system easily. Space need to accommodate roll-on-roll-off, fork lift movement, storage of cartridges, fresh powder stock etc.
- Wall panels need to be modular, cold insulated, smooth for easy clean. No dust leaching allowed.
- Illumination, ductwork, electrical boxes outside mounted where ever possible.
- Operators to enter and exit easily with restricted access. Emergency exit provision.
- Floor recommend to be duly painted, coated for ease of cleaning.
- Vacuum system movement space provision.
- The room is duly pressurized with ductwork delivering laminar air flow inside the room.
- Temperature and humidity control with insulate ductwork to avoid moisture condensation.
